The mission of the Museum of Discovery and Science is to provide experiential pathways to lifelong learning in science for children and adults through exhibits, programs, and films. MODS fulfills its mission by delivering programming through four major content pillars: Physical Sciences; Health; Environmental Science; and Early Childhood.
Visitors can also participate in a variety of labs and workshops, weekend, summer and holiday camps, and animal conservation related educational activities such as Sea Turtle Walks and Butterfly Releases that the Museum hosts throughout the year. Other signature programs include events and specialty themed weekends such as Asian Pacific Heritage Celebration, Family Expo, Eye of the Storm Hurricane Awareness and Preparedness, Design Nation Engineering Challenge, Maker Faire, Earth Day Celebration, Meet the Animals, and World Ocean Day.
